How to Play BitLife
Start by creating a new life - you can customize your character's name and appearance or generate them randomly. Each year of your virtual life is represented by an age button, which you click to advance time and unlock new activities appropriate for your character's age. Monitor your happiness, health, smarts, and looks through the main statistics screen, and make decisions about education, career, relationships, and more through the Activities menu. As you age, new options become available - at 18, you can pursue higher education, join the military, or start working. Build relationships, manage finances, and face random events that may bring fortune or misfortune. Your decisions shape your character's life story until their eventual death, after which you can start again with a new life.
